Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, during a press conference as part of his 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' in Nagaland, expressed confidence in the INDIA alliance's ability to challenge the BJP effectively in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Gandhi, who kicked off the yatra from Manipur on January 14, discussed ongoing seat-sharing discussions and affirmed his belief in their successful resolution. He emphasized the alliance's strong position and the ease of discussions, describing them as essential for addressing the country's injustices.
Addressing various topics, Gandhi highlighted the Yatra's goal of promoting social, economic, and political justice, raising crucial issues, and shedding light on the injustices faced by Manipur. He also commented on the upcoming Ram temple consecration, stating it as an apolitical event, while expressing reservations about the BJP-RSS adding an election flavor to it. The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, not considered electoral by the Congress, aims to re-establish constitutional principles and will cover 100 Lok Sabha segments in 15 states before concluding in Mumbai on March 20 or 21.
